Max's Mile Kids' One Mile Fun Run
Tod's Point, Old Greenwich
Sunday, November 8 at 10:00 AM
Max's Story: In the Fall of 2008, Max was running with his family in the Bushwhack race, and was cheered on by his sisters and brother as he followed them across the finish line. Later that fall Max was diagnosed with a rare and inoperable form of brain cancer. Max fought with determination but was unable to compete against this very aggressive form of cancer. On April 21st, 2009 Max lost his struggle.
Threads & Treads is celebrating Max's life with its first annual cross country run, Max's Mile, in conjunction with the Beachfront Bushwhack 5 mile.
Proceeds from the race will be donated to Max's fund at Making Headway; a foundation dedicated to the care, comfort, and cure of children with brain and spinal cord tumors.
A trophy will be awarded to the top finishers in each age division.
START/FINISH: Behind the South Concession at Tod's Point. I95 exit 5, right at end of ramp onto East Putnam Ave. and right at first light on Sound Beach Avenue to end. Right on Shore Road to Beach.
REGISTRATION: Pre entry $15 by mail or in person at threads & treads, race day entry $20 starting at 9 a.m. Kids $10. Entries may also be faxed with credit card info to 203-661-0917.
