Westchester Children's Association's Vote for Kids
All members of the Westchester County Board if Legislators are up for re-election this fall and the Westchester Children’s Association is partnering with a number of individuals and organizations to make sure that young people are at the top of the public agenda in the elections. The Vote For Kids Campaign is a two-pronged call to action designed first to ensure that people are registered to vote by the October 3 deadline and then, once registered, Vote For Kids will also allow individuals to deliver a message directly to their Legislator and the County Executive letting them know that issues facing our young people should not be overlooked or undervalued, all with one click of a mouse.

Why Vote? Why Kids?
Our elected leaders make important decisions that affect children, youth and families throughout Westchester. From health care and education to parenting classes and foster care, The Vote for Kids Campaign wants to make sure that the programs that serve and support our youth and families are adequately understood and funded.  The 2010 County Budget debates made clear that many of these programs are vulnerable to catastrophic cuts that would be devastating to the people who rely on them. By making sure that every resident in Westchester has the opportunity to make their concerns heard through their vote and then making it simple for voters to send a strong message in support of youth and families to their legislator and the County Executive, vital programs and services may be protected.
