The Westchester Triathlon

The Westchester Triathlon is this weekend. Head to Playland and cheer on the participants. There will be several different races of many age categories. The schedule is below:
Saturday, September 24th
7:00 AM – Kid’s race registration begins. Packet pickup for Kids and Meek & Mighty races
7:00 AM – 7:45 AM – Registration closed – Kid’s go to water for race start
8:00 AM – First wave, 7 – 10 yr olds begin 75 yd swim
8:45 AM – Second wave, 11 -14 yr olds begin 150 yd swim
9:30 AM – Third wave, Meek & Mighty begin 300 yd swim
10:30 AM – Last finisher should have crossed the line
11:00 AM – Awards ceremony
11:30 AM – TNT Westchester going out for practice swim
12:00 PM – Packet Pick Up and Expo begins
1:00 – 7:00 PM – Transition area complete and ready for athlete bike drop-off
1:30 PM – TNT Westchester Pro Talk
2:00 PM – Athlete meeting at Expo Stage
2:30 PM – TNT New York Pro Talk
3:00 PM – Elite Athlete meeting at Gazebo by Seaside Johnny’s
5:00 PM – Packet Pick Up and Expo closes
6:30 PM – Athlete Dinner
Sunday, September 25th
5:00 AM – Transition area opens
6:30 AM – Transition area closes
6:35 AM – Mandatory race briefing
6:50 AM – National Anthem
7:00 AM – Elite Wave
7:05 AM – Amateur waves begin. Each wave 3 minutes apart.
9:00 AM – Expo opens
8:55 AM – First elite athlete crosses finish line
9:00 AM – Finisher Celebration begins with Captain Lawrence beer, water and food
Band begins
12:00 PM – Awards and raffle
12:15 PM – Band continues
1:00 PM – Expo, band, and celebration conclude
