Time Capsule Exhibit at the Rye Library

Where were you on August 31, 1984? Many of Rye's children were at the library that day witnessing the packing of a Time Capsule commemorating the Rye Free Reading Room's centennial. This year, on November 12, the Time Capsule was re-opened at a 90th birthday celebration for the library's Children's Room.
An exhibit of the Capsule's contents - including children's predictions for the future, items of pop culture, and news accounts - will be on view at the library on Monday, December 27, from 3 pm - 4 pm. Whether you - or your children - helped with the time Capsule or you remember 1984 from another place, you will surely enjoy taking this step back in time.
Holiday refreshments will be served.
