2010 Love the Library Annual Campaign
Positioned prominently on the Village Green, the Rye Free Reading Room is truly at the heart of our community.  Through the years we have watched our children enjoy pajama story time and do their homework after school in the library, we have supported the construction of the new addition with its beautiful meeting room and outstanding children's room, and we are committed to the ongoing improvement of the library's services.  With its diverse offerings for the entire community, the library has become a gathering place and an enduring part of Rye culture.

Beyond the outstanding book collection, our library provides access to the latest technology, children's programs, author lectures, musical performances, art exhibitions, book groups, passes to leading museums, current CDs and DVDs, electronic downloads and much more -- all for free!  This is why we love the library.

Since 1887, members of the Rye community have supported the library.  Today, the library relies on private fundraising for 25% of its budget to maintain its operations and the high level of service that we have come to expect.

We are fortunate to have such thoughtful and generous friends and neighbors who make Rye a special place to live.  We are asking you to join us in supporting the Rye Free Reading Room to help us always meet your needs and to keep our thriving cultural center at its best.

Please show that you Love the Library and help us reach our goal of $190,000 by contributing today.
