Head south  to Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks in NYC, and view them anywhere you have an unobstructed view of the Hudson River. They will light up the sky over the Hudson River at 9:20 PM on the 4th for a 26-minute show.

The best view will be on Manhattan’s West Side between 23rd and 59th Streets and along New Jersey’s water front.

"Gift of Freedom" is the theme of the 2011 fireworks spectacular and the event will pay special tribute to the 125th anniversary year of the Statue of Liberty. The score will feature pop songs from stars Taio Cruz, Everclear, Jennifer Hudson, Katy Perry and LeAnne Rimes. In addition, Broadway stars Anika Noni Rose and Karen Olivo will pay tribute to the "Lady in the Harbor" with a bilingual rendition of the original song Gift of Light.
