It is the last week to walk a trail illuminated by 24 lighthouses—creatively built using everything from stone, gingerbread, toilet paper tubes and sugar cubes from France – in the 10th annual “Festival of Lighthouses” at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. This winter, visitors to The Maritime Aquarium will again enjoy the holiday tradition of judging an exhibit of hand-crafted lighthouses. This special exhibit will place 24 lighthouses throughout the aquarium during the holiday season and beyond: the exhibit runs through Jan. 16, 2012. Aquarium visitors will follow these hand-crafted beacons through the galleries and then may cast a vote for their favorite.
