Robert Deyber's first Museum Exhibit
Turning A Phrase' on Exhibit
Stamford, Sep 4th - Oct 17th
Start Time: museum hours
Admission: Yes
Stamford Museum & Nature Center will be home to Connecticut artist Robert Deyber’s first Museum exhibition this fall. Deyber is quickly becoming one of the country’s most recognized contemporary artists. Robert Deyber: Turning A Phrase will be on exhibit Sept. 4 through Oct. 17, in the Museum’s Bendel Mansion galleries. The exhibition features Deyber's most recent work based on the vernacular of the English language. The countless idioms, clichés and euphemisms which permeate our every day communication are what inspire his work. The visual interpretation and re-interpretation and re-arrangement of these curiosities of the English language make for a body of work holding stunning diversity and whimsical cohesion. The exhibition will also include three dimensional works created by the artist that have never been publicly exhibited before.
