Westport gets artsy this weekend with the Westport Fine Arts Festival. This is not your mama’s arts & crafts show, galpals. The Westport Fine Arts Festival is one of the region’s—and the country’s—most anticipated art events. Wander along the banks of the Saugatuck River as you enjoy the artwork or more than one hundred participating artists. And bring the kids! This year’s Children’s Zone will have kids creating crafts based on Frank L. Baum’s Wizard of Oz—they’ll make “tie-dye rainbows, tin-men made out of ‘found’ objects, good (or evil) witch hats, three dimensional collage lollipops, and ‘characters of a different color.’” Don’t miss the bands and local fare.
