Winter Creature Cruise
Welcome aboard the Maritime Aquarium's research vessel Oceanic!

Sail the waters of Norwalk Harbor and Long Island Sound with the Aquarium's marine science educators to learn about life at the shores and below the surface of the Sound.
Cruise out with Aquarium educators in hopes of spying some of the harbor seals, gray seals and even (occasional) harp seals that regularly winter in Long Island Sound. Observe science in action, and have a memorable experience at the same time!

The seals can often be observed at low tide, when they "haul out" to rest on exposed rocks. Aquarium educators will also point out winter waterfowl and talk about the population changes that occur in the Sound over the winter. Departure times for the approximately 2 1/2-hour cruises vary by low tide.

Bring binoculars, and dress warmly. Cost: $20.50 ($18.50 for members). Charters are $300, available Mon.-Fri. All passengers must be over 42" tall.
