A Day in the Life of Larchmont
The Larchmont Historical Society is pleased to present the opportunity for all photo enthusiasts to participate in "A Day in the Life of Larchmont" on October 20, 2011. Take photos anywhere in Larchmont from midnight to midnight, on Thursday, October 20th and submit them for consideration as part of the LHS “A Day in the Life of Larchmont”* photo exhibit.  LHS is looking to document all 24 hours of the day, and hopes to include some pictures from all who participate.  For additional information visit Larchmont History.

Photographers may submit up to ten photographs which may focus on public or domestic life, work, school, play, and iconic Larchmont images – ALL ARE WELCOME!*For the purposes of this program, "Larchmont" is considered to be the entire 10538 area – including the Village of Larchmont and most of the unincorporated part of the Town of Mamaroneck.

Twenty years ago, in the spring of 1991, Lynne Crowley organized the “A Day in the Life of Larchmont” photo exhibit to mark the centennial of the Village of Larchmont.  Now the archivist of the Larchmont Historical Society, Lynne felt it was time to re-create that program.  “This program was enthusiastically received by the community twenty years ago, and I hope that we will have the same level of enthusiasm and participation in 2011.  We are excited to create an exhibit which will not only help to record our local history, but also to showcase some of the creative talent of our residents.  We hope to document a ‘snapshot in time’ in the history of Larchmont.”
