Some call it the "Cult of Lululemon".  Maybe they are just jealous how good you look in those yoga pants!

Why is fitness apparel company Lululemon so revered by its fans? As any woman knows, if your imperfect bottom looks good in a pair of pants, you'll pay anything (example: True Religion and Citizens jeans). Yes, it's pricey but Lululemon fans rave about the flattering silhouette. Designed initially for yoga, the fit is form-fitting and fashionable.  The pants also come in "Tall" sizes. In-store tailoring is free.  And lulu owners rave about the comfort factor and the pretty colors.

The Vancouver company says all the right things in its company "manifesto" and has higher aims than making you sweat pretty. Galpal Ally says she drives to NYC for the "unbelieveable" workout clothes, free alterations and great customer service. "It makes you look in shape and in style while running around town, even if you never run into the gym," she said.

Lululemon's fanatics say it's a fitness fashion line worth driving to find.  After June, you'll have to do just that if you live in our area.

Westport Workout Wear currently carries Lululemon basics. That will end in June when Lululemon's corporate office will cease wholesale accounts in Connecticut in hopes that the apparel line's fans will check out the new company store in Greenwich (Grand Opening date TBD). In the meantime, Westport Workout Wear received a new shipment on Tuesday.
