Shoe Fetish
Frye or Die
Wednesday, December 12, 2007

The best money Suzy ever spent on shoes and boots? Surprisingly, not the ubiquitous Tory Burch ballerina flats.
We saw Frye boots on Sarah Jessica Parker during her "Sex and the City" heyday and got hooked.
Three pairs later, Frye boots are the most comfortable things we own and always the perfect complement to weekend wear, year in and year out.
Here's a quick history lesson: The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Frye boots were worn by soldiers for both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish- American war, and for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When New England families headed West to home-stead during the mid-1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey.
As an American, you simply must own a pair.
Suzy's Tip: Most Frye styles run a half size bigger.

Harness Two Ring $325

Belted Harness Mule $148

Calvary $228
