A Furniture Fix
There's only one thing that can beat a fashion shopping trip:  a furniture-buying excursion.

Suzy ventured South this weekend to High Point, NC to check out Furnitureland South, the world's biggest furniture store.

We had heard the stories of discounts and choices galore but nothing does the inventory of notable manufacturers justice. One of Suzy's galpals suggested we contact Patti Allen, one of the store's designers to help us navigate the 1 million square feet of showroom space. Armed with a shopping list, a budget, an open mind and a Starbucks -- FLS has their own coffee outpost, we discovered a myriad of styles and options to outfit a summer getaway.  Patti quickly gauged our taste and adeptly guide us through floor after floor of well-known manufacturers. While we didn't spend as much as Saudi royalty who, legend has it, visit FLS and spend well into the 7 figures, we did some damage.

Bottom line:  Furnitureland South offers 40% off list price.  Adding to the savings, the High Point institution is offering FREE SHIPPING this month (and usually one other time per year. Check the website.)

Never, ever order an entire bedroom, dining room or living room from Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel!  You'll pay for your trip many times over by traveling to Furnitureland South.  Suzy is going back to galpal Patti Allen for every piece from now on.
