A Pasta Twist

A favorite entertaining dish of our pal Sheila, a Suzy subscriber  
Sausage and pasta

1 Tablespoon butter
2 eggs
1 cup half & half
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese
1/3 cup crumbled feta
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1 tsp. dry basil
1 tsp. dry oregano
1 package fresh uncooked angel hair pasta (You can use any pasta, Sheila recommends angel hair)
1 jar mild salsa, thick
1 pound sausage or shrimp
1/2 cup monterey jack cheese


Grease 12x18 pan with butter (glass pyrex dish)
Combine eggs, half & half, yogurt, swiss cheese, feta, parsley, basil and oregano. mix well.
Spread 1/2 pasta on bottom of dish
Cover with salsa
Spread 1/2 sausage or shrimp over salsa
Spread remaining pasta over sausage
Pour all of egg mixture on top
Top with rest of sausage
Cover with monterey jack cheese


Bake at 350' for 30 min. till bubbly. Let stand for 10 min.
