There is nothing like a good ‘ol cheeseburger with all the “works” to get the summer season going!

BBQ Season is about to get into full swing. Here's a recipe for a delicious burger alternative to try next time you fire up the grill.
2 cups pkg. cole slaw mix
1 Tbsp. low fat mayo
1 Tbsp. prepared smoky-style BBQ sauce
1 tsp. canned chipotle pepper in adobo, minced
1 tsp. Dijon mustard
½ tsp. hot adobo powder (or garlic powder)
salt & pepper to taste
2 Quorn™ Beef-Style Cheeseburgers
2 lettuce leaves
2 whole wheat soft sandwich buns or whole grain seeded rolls
4 slices ripe tomato
2 strips meat-free bacon, cooked (opt.)
- Place all slaw ingredients in a medium bowl. Toss well to combine, Cover; refrigerate until ready to use.
- Cook burgers as per package directions.
- To assemble each sandwich, place 1 of the lettuce leaves onto bottom half of 1 of the buns. Top with about 1/3 cup of the slaw mixture, 1 of the cooked burgers, 1 slice of the cooked meat-free bacon and 2 of the tomato slices. Cover with 1 of the roll tops. Repeat to make the second sandwich. Serve any extra slaw on the side
This delicious burger is a real “two-fister!” Serve it with a side of multi grain chips for a bit of added crunch
*2 teaspoons canned, mild green chilies may be substituted for the 1 teaspoon spicy chipotle peppers.
