The mission of Hailey's Hope Foundation is to help fulfill the needs of families with premature and critically ill babies hospitalized in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) in the New York area.

The Foundation, established in December 2007, consists of several parents and grandparents who lived through eight frightening NICU experiences and the tragic loss of a baby. They know what it is like to bond with babies through isolettes, navigating wires, monitors and feeding lines to embrace them, to hear the heart-stopping alarms and to end each visit with a kiss and tearful goodbye. Juggling home-life, daycare, work and numerous hospital visits became their daily routine, as well as managing the overwhelming expenses associated with each NICU stay.
