Furniture Sharehouse "Furnish a Family" Benefit
Thursday, October 07, 2010

Furniture Sharehouse is Westchester's Furniture Bank- they collect gently-used furniture from the public in a warehouse at the County Airport and provide it free of charge to needy families referred to us by member social service agencies. Their clients include those moving out of homeless shelters, escaping domestic violence, recovering from personal or natural disasters. They have furnished 1,000 familes to date with over 12,000 items of free furniture to help them "make a house a home".
Furniture Sharehouse is holding their First "Furnish a Family" Benefit on October 22 at the Larchmont Yacht CLub. The event takes place at 6:30PM Renowned interior designer Samuel Botero and rare carpet consultant Alix Perrachon will share their passion for design and insider tips on “Making a House a Home,” and we will honor The Junior League of Westchester on the Sound for their many years of unwavering support. The night will also feature a live/silent auction of antique furniture items, as well as unique one-of-a-kind pieces “reinvented” by well-known Westchester interior designers and artists.
To support this great cause and night, please go to Furniture Sharehouse for all of the information.
