June 12 through August 8
This exhibition, organized by the Smithsonian Institution Exhibition Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, shows how satellites work, and the countless scientific purposes to which they are put. Using 41 large images, the exhibition explores the biological diversity of the world, weather phenomena, the human footprint on the planet, and much more! It also includes "Magic Planet," a digital video globe. The exhibition has been made possible by Global Imagination. Additional support has been provided by the U.S. Geological Survey and the Smithsonian Women's Committee.
