Holiday Puppet Show at the Square House Museum
Puppeteer Fred Greenspan brings an array of amusing puppets to the Square House Museum on Saturday, December 10, 2011 for a special performance of “Mr. Punch’s Holiday Adventure” at 1:00 pm. The mischievous Mr. Punch, his wife Judy and a cast of characters will delight children and adults alike.  The cost for this special holiday program is $20 per family. Reservations are suggested as space is limited and can be made by calling the Rye Historical Society at (914) 967-7588.

Fred Greenspan has a Masters Degree in Cultural Anthropology from Temple University and received his B.A. in Liberal Studies from Bard College. He has been performing traditional live puppet shows since 1983 and is a member of the Puppeteers of America, Union Internationale de la Marionette, and the Puppetry Guild of Greater New York. Dressed in period costume, he provides an historic overview before each show and maintains the rascally nature of Punch without the rowdy stick slapping normally associated with these shows.

The Square House Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. For more information, please call (914) 967-7588 or visit our website, www.ryehistory.org.
