Women's Club of Rye Annual Rug Sale

The Children’s Philanthropy of the Woman’s Club of Rye will hold its benefit rug sale during a special two-day event featuring Oriental hand-knotted rugs from the Caravan Connection on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29th, and SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30TH, from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the RYE MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM. Slightly discounted prices on all rugs
plus a new selection of even more affordable rugs are included in this year’s sale.
A Rug Sale Preview Party was held on Saturday, October 15th where Mike and Mary Lynn McRee of Caravan Connection displayed many beautiful and unique carpets in a Showcase Builder’s home designed by Linda Talt and built by DT Custom homes.
While sampling beverages provided by Sokolin, Rye Beverage Mart and AKA Corporate Housing, the Preview Party gave guests an opportunity to view a sampling of Caravan Connection rugs which will be available at the annual Rug Sale.
The Caravan Connection features a varied collection of Romanian, Tibetan, Turkish, Indian, Persian, Pakistani, Chinese and Oriental rugs. With their expertise, Mike and Mary Lynn McRee who have been in business since 1979 can help you select the right rug for your home. . Proceeds from the Rug Sale directly benefit children within the Rye community. This year’s grant recipients include Rye Library’s Teacher in the Library program, kindergarten musical education programs at all Rye elementary schools, Rye Recreation’s Annual Halloween Window Painting, Rye Teen Center and various other social programs within Rye which provide many students the opportunity to attend summer camp and have proper meals throughout school recess periods.
