Better Your Life with Health Coach, Wendy Nagle
Monday, January 10, 2011
Suzy was excited to have the opportunity to speak with Wendy Nagle who is a health coach. The start of the New Year is a great time to take control of you and your families health. Wendy can help you feel better about understanding the health needs of you and your family. Her program can be personalized just for YOU! The "Health Matters" workshops can be taken in groups with your Gal Pals, as a family or you by your self.
Check out her website which is filled with great information as we have included a few excerpts below.
"I received my training to practice Hollistic Health Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school in the country integrating all the different dietary theories. The Institute's program combines traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. The Institute of Integrated Nutrition has opened my eyes to the extreme importance of nutrition and a balnced lifestyle to achieve optimal health and happiness. Through my education, experience, counseling and personal experience I hope to improve the lives of as many people as possible."
"I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole."
"A health coach (or health counselor) is a wellness guide and supportive mentor. Together, we’ll work to achieve your goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, food cravings, sleep and energy. Through working with me, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the foods and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health."
"The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has her or his own food and lifestyle needs. So, when the experts say, “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it doesn’t apply to everyone. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you in making positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, personal preferences, and background. Instead of prescribing one fix for all people, I use a personalized, holistic approach that is based on your needs."
"Integrative Nutrition’s mission is to play a crucial role in improving health and happiness in America, and through that process, create a ripple effect that transforms the world." - Wendy Nagle
