Dr. Alexandra Heerdt is a Board Certified surgeon with a clinical expertise in breast disease. She received her MD from Jefferson Medical College and her MPH from Columbia University School of Public Health. Dr. Heerdt completed her residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and a fellowship at Sloan Kettering Institute. Among the many awards that she has received, Dr. Heerdt was honored with the 2009 Mother of the Year award from the American Cancer Society.

Sole Ryeders & Friends is a volunteer-driven organization based in Westchester County, New York which supports health and wellness by:
Sharing current health-related information through speakers and other resources
Fundraising and awarding grants through partnerships with local cancer-related, health and wellness programs
Providing resources and emotional support for community members faced with serious illness
Through these efforts, the community benefits from increased access to health and wellness programs as well as an extensive network of people committed to improving and saving lives.
