Doodle for Dental Health
To raise awareness of Dental Health Month in February 2011, the Rye Arts Center has partnered with Dr. Deborah Troy, DDS., P.C. to offer an exciting opportunity to students Grades K-12. Using the theme “What keeps my teeth healthy?” as a springboard, students are invited to submit a drawing or painting on a sheet of 11x14 paper using the medium of their choice (pencil, watercolor, marker or paint.) Each entry will be judged on its originality, artistic design, and best representation of the theme. The winner of each level (K-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12) will receive a $100 cash prize. All artwork will be displayed in the Gallery of The Rye Arts Center for the duration of the award ceremony on February 28 (6:00 pm.) All who participate are invited to join us for food, fun and to see their works in the RAC Gallery! Join us on Monday, February 21, from 3:00 - 4:30 pm, if you would like to have some free “studio time” in our painting studio to create your masterpiece. Supplies will be provided, courtesy of Dr. Deborah Troy. All entries need to be received by Monday, February 23.
