While Elm Street Oyster House is known around town as a great place to grab a seat at the bar for a glass of wine and a plate of shellfish, it's a little-known fact that Elm Street is also a good pick when you're looking for a good restaurant for your kids. Your children aren't seafood lovers? Not a problem. They have a special kids' menu that runs the gamut from fried shrimp to burgers to crab cakes, but the best part is the staff at Elm Street will actually make anything. Is your pick eater in a phase of liking only buttered noodles? They'll make a bowl just for him. Want a smaller portion of an item on the regular menu? You got it. One thing to note: if you are making Elm Street a family stop, go early. Grab a table on the sidewalk just off the Avenue for some people-watching and family time.
